My name is David and I am 22 years old.  I grew up in the church and always knew God and knew that he had a plan for my life.  But growing up wasn’t easy and I got started on the wrong path at a young age.  By the time I realized that I was so far gone I had almost completely separated myself from my family due to my life-style of homosexuality and drug addiction.  I found myself living in a dope house with no electricity and no running water at the age of 19.  I knew I needed to be rescued from the hell that I was living in.  So I came to Teen Challenge and God began to rebuild my life, piece-by-piece I was being put back together and made whole.  I received Jesus as my Lord and Savior and have allowed him to dwell within me.  I completed the program, did a six-month internship and joined the Teen Challenge staff team to help rescue more hurting lives.  God has put a passion for music in my heart and has given me the opportunity to write and record my own music.  There are endless opportunities when God is at the center of your life.

The verse that I stand in is Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not on your own understanding, acknowledge him in all of your ways, and he will direct your path.”
